Attendance Behavior

The Attendance Behavior report is an extremely useful report for not only the year-end, but throughout the year to identify trends in the attendance of your congregation, and get the information your church needs to follow up with people. This report offers several different options, making this a very flexible report.

To access the Attendance Behavior report, open the attendance module, and click on the reports tab. The first report selected is the Attendance Behavior report. The options in this report, are detailed below:

» Who—This field lets you select what group of people you want to see represented in your report. There are several pre-defined options, such as Current members and Visitors, but there are also options where you can select a specific grouping of people. These options have an * next to them, and when selected, you will be asked to make a selection from the different groups you have a available. For example, if you select the "For a subgroup" option, you then can pick a subgroup that you'd like to run this report for.

» Behavior—This field lets you pick what kind of criteria you're basing your report on. Each selection is detailed below

  • (any) - This option is the standard attendance behavior report. This option shows you each person in your selected group, the number of times they've attended the selected attendance type(s) or event(s) within the date range selected, and the last date and event that person attended.
  • Did not attend - This option finds everyone in your selected group who did not attend the selected attendance type(s) or event(s) within the date range selected. This will also show the last date and event that person did attend.
  • Missed more than - This option finds everyone in your selected group who missed more than the number of events you select within the date range and the attendance type(s) or attendance event(s) you've selected. The report will show the number of times these people did attend within the date range, and the last date and event they attended.
  • Attended at least - This option finds everyone in your selected group who attended at least the number of events you selected within the date range and attendance type(s) and attendance event(s) you selected. The report will show everyone who met or exceeded the number of times attended, the number of times they attended within the date range and attendance type(s) and event(s) selected, and the last date and event that person attended.
  • Perfect attendance - This option finds everyone in your selected group who attended every event within the date range and attendance type(s) or attendance event(s) you selected. This will show the number of events those people attended, and what the last date and event that person attended overall.
  • Missed only - This option shows everyone who missed only the specified number of events or less within the date range and attendance type(s) or attendance event(s) you selected. This report will show the number of events those people attended, and what the last date and event that person attended overall.

» Between—This field is the date range for your report. The behavior chosen in the previous section will look at people's attendance between the dates that you set in this field

» Search by—This field lets you choose if the report will be looking for attendance based on a particular attendance type(s), or seeing if a person has attendance at specific events. 

» Sort/group by—This field lets you choose how you want your report arranged. There are several different options, including options that let you group by household instead of by person, and you can also sort and group by things like ministry groups, person assigned, and Sunday School grades.

» Include—This field allows you to select items that you want to be included on you report. This can include useful information that can make it easier to follow up with the people you see on the report. Each option is detailed below:

  • Current address - This option shows the current active address for that person as listed in the Membership module
  • Phone and e-mail - This option includes each active phone number and email address for each person on the report
  • Birth, age and sex - This option shows a person's birthday, age, and sex under their name on the report.
  • Family information - This option shows what household a person is a part of, what their sequence is in that household, and what their marital status is.
  • Member information - This option shows if a person is a member or non-member, participation, and the Person Assigned to the person.
  • Visit information - This option shows information about the last time a person was visited.
  • Event details - This option shows each event a person attended within the date range, and how many times the event occurred, and the difference between the amount of times the event occurred and the number of times the person attended that event.

When you've finished setting up your report, you can click the subgroup button at the bottom right corner of the page to create a static subgroup, or if you are ready to generate your report, click Print to get a preview of your report. When you're ready, click print on the preview screen and you will get a printout of your report.
