Statement of Income and Expense

The new Statement of Income and Expense has received more customizations in addition to retaining most, if not all, of the formatting from previous versions of the report under the name Treasurer reports.

Statement of Income and Expense report > Current Month, YTD, budget remaining format

  1. Go to the Other reports tab of the Finance module.
  2. Choose "Treasurer reports" from the list of report options to the left of the window.
  3. Choose the current finance year. It does not matter what you choose for the month in the Period field for this format
  4. Choose any book/fund, responsibility, and church body selections, if any.
  5. For the format, choose "Current month, YTD, budget remaining".
  6. Choose the level of detail you would like your report to generate.
  7. Check any options you would prefer for your report.
  8. Choose if and where you would like pages to break in the report.
  9. Click Print to preview your report.

Statement of Income and Expense report > Current Month and YTD

  1. Go to the Other reports tab of the Finance module.
  2. Choose "Treasurer reports" from the list of report options to the left of the window.
  3. Choose the current finance year and month.
  4. Choose any book/fund, responsibility, and church body selections, if any.
  5. For the format, choose "Custom report".
  6. Choose the level of detail you would like your report to generate.
  7. Check any options you would prefer for your report.
  8. For the column selections, choose:
    • Actual for Period
    • Budget for Period
    • Actual for Year-to-date
    • Budget for Year-to-date
    • (blank)
  9. Click Print to preview your report.

Statement of Income and Expense report > Treasurer's Report

  1. Go to the Other reports tab of the Finance module.
  2. Choose "Treasurer reports" from the list of report options to the left of the window.
  3. Choose the current finance year and month.
  4. Choose any book/fund, responsibility, and church body selections, if any.
  5. For the format, choose "Treasurer's report".
  6. Choose the level of detail you would like your report to generate.
  7. Check any options you would prefer for your report.
  8. Click Print to preview your report.

Statement of Income and Expense report > All months: actual

  1. Go to the Other reports tab of the Finance module.
  2. Choose "Treasurer reports" from the list of report options to the left of the window.
  3. Choose the current finance year. It does not matter what you choose for the month for this format.
  4. Choose any book/fund, responsibility, and church body selections, if any.
  5. For the format, choose "All months: actual".
  6. Choose the level of detail you would like your report to generate.
  7. Check any options you would prefer for your report.
  8. Click Print to preview your report.

Statement of Income and Expense report > All months: actual less budget

  1. Go to the Other reports tab of the Finance module.
  2. If not selected by default, choose the "Account and trial balance report" from the list of report options to the left of the window.
  3. Choose the finance year you want to report on. Choose the last month of your fiscal year as the ending month.
  4. Choose any books/funds, account types, responsibility, and church body selections, if any.
  5. For the format, choose "Budget vs actual".
  6. Check any options you would prefer for your report, including showing monthly totals.
  7. Click Print to preview your report.

Statement of Income and Expense report > All months: budget

There are a few different areas where you can get the budget for all months in a finance year.

The most straightforward would be the under the Plan / Analyze button.

  1. Go to the Plan / Analyze tab of the Finance module.
  2. Go to the Budgeting section.
  3. Choose the finance year you want to report on.
  4. Choose the fund you want to report on.
  5. Choose the types of accounts you want to show and whether you want to filter out inactive accounts.
  6. Click Print to preview your report. 

Statement of Income and Expense report > All months: budget vs actual

  1. Go to the Other reports tab of the Finance module.
  2. Choose "Treasurer reports" from the list of report options to the left of the window.
  3. Choose the current finance year. It does not matter what you choose for the month for this format.
  4. Choose any book/fund, responsibility, and church body selections, if any.
  5. For the format, choose "All months: actual vs budget".
  6. Choose the level of detail you would like your report to generate.
  7. Check any options you would prefer for your report.
  8. Click Print to preview your report.

Statement of Income and Expense report > One month: actual, budget, prior year

  1. Go to the Other reports tab of the Finance module.
  2. Choose "Treasurer reports" from the list of report options to the left of the window.
  3. Choose the current finance year and month.
  4. Choose any book/fund, responsibility, and church body selections, if any.
  5. For the format, choose "Custom report".
  6. Choose the level of detail you would like your report to generate.
  7. Check any options you would prefer for your report.
  8. For the column selections, choose:
    • Actual for Period
    • Actual 1 year ago for Period
    • Budget for Period
    • Budget 1 year ago for Period
    • (blank)
  9. Click Print to preview your report.

Statement of Income and Expense report > One month: actual, prior year, change

There isn't an exact translation to this report as the percentages are calculated differently.

  1. Go to the Other reports tab of the Finance module.
  2. Choose "Treasurer reports" from the list of report options to the left of the window.
  3. Choose the current finance year and month.
  4. Choose any book/fund, responsibility, and church body selections, if any.
  5. For the format, choose "Custom report".
  6. Choose the level of detail you would like your report to generate.
  7. Check any options you would prefer for your report.
  8. For the column selections, choose:
    • (blank)
    • Actual 1 year ago for Period
    • Actual for Period
    • Change: col. 3 less col. 2 "Budget Remaining"
    • Percent: col. 2 divided by col. 3 "Percent of Budget"
  9. Click Print to preview your report.

Statement of Income and Expense report > One month: five-year trend

  1. Go to the Other reports tab of the Finance module.
  2. Choose "Treasurer reports" from the list of report options to the left of the window.
  3. Choose the current finance year and month.
  4. Choose any book, responsibility, and church body selections, if any.
  5. For the format, choose "Period history".
  6. Choose the level of detail you'd like your report to generate.
  7. Check any options you'd prefer for your report.
  8. Click Print to preview your report.

Statement of Income and Expense report > Year-to-date: actual, budget, prior year

  1. Go to the Other reports tab of the Finance module.
  2. Choose "Treasurer reports" from the list of report options to the left of the window.
  3. Choose the current finance year and month.
  4. Choose any book, responsibility, and church body selections, if any.
  5. For the format, choose "Custom report".
  6. Choose the level of detail you'd like your report to generate.
  7. Check any options you'd prefer for your report.
  8. For the column selections, choose:
    • Actual for Year-to-date
    • Actual 1 year ago for Year-to-date
    • Budget for Year-to-date
    • Budget 1 year ago for Year-to-date
    • (blank)
  9. Click Print to preview your report.

    • Change: col. 3 less col. 2 "Change"
    • Percent: col. 2 divided by col. 3 "Percent of Actual"
  9. Click Print to preview your report.

Statement of Income and Expense report > Year-to-date: five-year trend

  1. Go to the Other reports tab of the Finance module.
  2. Choose "Treasurer reports" from the list of report options to the left of the window.
  3. Choose the current finance year and month.
  4. Choose any book, responsibility, and church body selections, if any.
  5. For the format, choose "Annual history".
  6. Choose the level of detail you would like your report to generate.
  7. Check any options you would prefer for your report.
  8. Click Print to preview your report.
